In Vivo Sun Protection Factor (SPF)

A topical product's level of protection against UVB radiation is determined by its Solar Protection Factor. A standardized method is used to directly measure the In Vivo Sun Protection Factor on the skin using artificial UV light.

In Vivo UVA Protection Factor (PA)

A topical product's level of protection against UVA radiation is determined by its Solar Protection Factor. A standardized method is used to directly measure the In Vivo UVA Protection Factor on the skin using artificial UV light.

Water Resistance

The determination of the Water Resistant Sun Protection Factor is performed by a standardized method to assess the effectiveness of sunscreen products in maintaining their stated SPF level after exposure to water.

Sweat Resistance

The determination of the Sweat Resistant Sun Protection Factor is performed by a standardized method to assess the effectiveness of sunscreen products in maintaining their stated SPF level after sweat-induced.

Non-Acnegenic

A non-acnegenic test assesses the skin condition before and after using a product for a month. The assessor counts the number of Inflammatory acne on the forehead, cheeks, and chin.

Non-Comedogenic

A non-comedogenic test assesses the skin condition before and after using a product for a month. The assessor counts the number of comedones on the forehead, cheeks, and chin.

Oil Control

An Oil Control test assesses the skin condition before and after using a product at specific time points.

A Heat and Humidity test is a method used to evaluate the performance of cosmetic products under conditions of elevated temperature and humidity, which are common in many regions during particular seasons.
